A token of affection. Often in the 1800's coins were used to commemorate events or express affection, this one is engraved on the back "W. McMahon to K. Turato S.F" in fancy script. The coin itself is an 1888 gold Liberty, a fancy top was added when this was made into a token so it could be worn as a pendant or fob. The top is 18k and the coin is 900 fine gold.

Details.....The token is 1.23" including the bale and .84" wide, it weighs 8.4 grams. In Very Good Antique condition, you should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces, we consider it a part of their charm.
